1) By using client option set (cloptset) we can include or exclude files from backup from TSM Server itself.
2) To include files to cloptset first we need to define cloptset in the TSM Server by using below command:
Define cloptset cloptsetname
3) Once we defined cloptset then we need to add files or directories which are to be added (or) excluded from the backup using the below command.
Define clientoption cloptsetname optionname optionvalue
In the above command the parameters are:
Cloptsetname = client option set name
Option Name = INCLEXCL
Option value = either include (or) exclude statement as per the Requirement.
Ex: def clientoption Veda inclexcl “exclude “*:\...\...\*.log””
(Or)
Def clientoption Veda inclexcl “include “*:\...\...\*.log””
4) Once we defined client option then we need to update the parameter client option set name in the node definition. By using below commands.
For updating existing parameter:
Update node nodename nodepassword domain=domainname userid=none cloptset=cloptsetname
5) This concept is also called as ‘client side exclusion (or) inclusion.”
